I’m Cliff. I provide calm, patient automatic driving tuition focused on helping you become a safe, confident driver — not simply getting you through the test.

Questions learners ask

How much are lessons?

£90 for a 2-hour lesson (£45 an hour). Payment is due 7 days before each lesson.

Why learn in an automatic?

Without a clutch or gears you can focus on the road, which many learners find calmer and quicker to pick up. If you pass in an automatic, your licence lets you drive automatic cars only.

I’m nervous — is that OK?

Absolutely. Many of my drivers start out nervous. Read more about lessons for nervous drivers.

What happens on my first lesson?

We start somewhere quiet and build up at your pace. See your first driving lesson.

Do I need a provisional licence?

Yes, you need a valid provisional driving licence before your first lesson.

Where will I take my driving test?

At Grantham (Somerby) driving test centre, in the Cupra Born you learn in. See preparing for your test at Grantham.

Which areas do you cover?
